Lednické Ponds National Nature Reserve

In 1953, Lednické Rybníky (in the Lednice-Valtice area) was declared a National Nature Reserve and consists of 552.5ha of land. This was to try and protect a significant nesting site of waterfowl. The pond system consists of five ponds: Nesyt, Hlohovecký, Prostřední, Mlýnský and Zámecký ponds.
